Please tell all of the turkey trolley volunteers what joy and surprise you brought to my friend and patient, Rob Robertson.  He was so delighted and I could hear his smile over the phone as he told me of the fun he had on Thanksgiving. What a wonderful idea!!! I would like to know of next years event and hope you can expand it to many more lonely folks. Due to family health concerns, I was not able to invite Rob this holiday and I feel so grateful for this service.  May you each experience many blessings this coming year!

Thanksgiving Day "Turkey Trolley"
Operation "Home Alone"

This program is designed to offset the depression to many of those in our community who are alone this Thankgiving. On Thanksgiving Day,  HBOA and volunteers dress in traditional indian and pilgrim dress with a "Turkey Mascot" on board the trolley.  Sarasota Herald Dining Guide wrote an article Sunday October 26th 2008.  SNN 6 did a story on the initial 2007 launch.  We deliver full Thanksgiving Dinner from Mattisons City Grille, Bouquet of Flowers from Sweetbay Supermarkets and more.

REQUEST Anyone can nominate an individual who is "Home Alone" for our "Turkey Gram." FREE.  If you're alone and want to join us on the trolley for the day or for a portion of the day...let us know! The HBOA Turkey Salute!  You've got to see our mascot!
